Hand-crafted ceramics bringing art
and meaning to the everyday

Samhara, meaning forged from fire, is a true testament of the elements. Each piece is carefully hand crafted and twice fired to create a functional work of art by Bhavani Arabandi. Her goal is to transform everyday rituals into meaningful experiences. As a sociologist, she is drawn to how objects quietly shape social life — the mug that holds morning coffee, the plate that gathers people around a table, the bowl that sparks conversation. Functional objects aren't passive; they structure how we gather, celebrate, and connect.

MEET BHAVANI

Behind the wheel

I got my hands dirty in my first ceramics class. Well... let’s be honest, it was much more. I had clay all over my clothes, shoes, and even some in my hair. I was a mess.  I was hooked. Clay is challenging and predictably unpredictable. But taking clay (literally rocks and dust) and turning it into functional art feels like pure magic.
